Hi, its an old post but was checking to see if there had been any updates on the issue...apparently not. I had a similar issue when purchasing the recent version of MS Office (2019...purchased mid 2021) running on Mac OS10.13 (last possible update for my ageing computer). I ended up purchasing another older MS Office 2016 for Mac (which was an update on the previous version I had running) from "Product Key 24". Runs perfectly. Price was half that of the newer version and downloaded from their site with key instantly. Website 'productkey24.com'. A thought I had after the download was whether the newer version would also work if it is pre the current system updates on the Mac...as it was supported for the 2 subsequent OS upgrades (from my 10.13) but just missed out when OS 11 happened??....a thought. Hope this helps?
