You’re now on the Alaska/Yukon section. Hike over the bridge and stay to the right, following the obvious main rock bands heading north. Stay parallel to the main rock band heading to the left as you walk! A short way and you’ll notice a wide bowl in the trail, look for a half-way line to the left, walk up the smooth side of the bowl, since the terrain is sloped. You should see the trail at the top of the bowl crossing the main rock band and heading away from the cliff band.
The trail leads up and over a ridge of scree that is covered with snow and provides easy climbing up to another bowl. Turn right and start hiking up the snow slope. You’ll exit the bowl and quickly reach the summit. Walk out on the rock bands running north/south and look for a set of three rocky scattles on the summit. Climb them in order, ranging from left to right, then reach the final rocky scramble to the summit. The summit is mostly flats with one large boulder in the center. Walk left around the boulder, cross the ridge, and you’re there!
Turn left and find the avalanche at the northeast side of the summit. Start pulling your way off the shoulder of the ridge to the left, ignoring the scree slope to the right. You’ll be in a flat area between the ridge and the side of a cliff. Look for some trees, then a large boulder needed to be moved to get you off the cliff. (Easy climb off the left side of the boulder, then head up a chimney. d2c66b5586
