3.Import the new version into the game.

The version of trainz you have compiled with is not that of the one currently in the game. So the trainz you have compiled will be named as, for example, trainz_v1.0.

4.Go to Settings and go to the 'Trainz' section. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and click 'Load Trainz'. The one you compiled should now be loaded.

Congratulations! You now have a TrainZ version higher than that of the one currently in the game.

Now you will need to copy files from the trainz folder into the trainz_old folder. You will have to copy the following files from the trainz_v1.0 folder.

Go to trainz_gui and select Load Jupyter Notebook from the main menu. This will open up a new window. In the new window, navigate to trainz_gui and click on the button, which will open up another window. In the new window, you should see a ipython shell which you can use to switch back and forth between trainz_gui and trainz_main.

At the moment, you can do all of the navigation in the trainz_gui window, but it will not have any of the features of the trainz_gui window. For example, you can't see the vignettes, or you can't see the

This should be all you need to do to get it running in trainz_gui. If you are running the latest version of trainz_gui, you might need to check the file trainzversion_load.py for the latest version.

If you want to switch back to trainz_gui, simply close the jupyter window by clicking on the stop button in the top left corner of the window. Now, you can switch back and forth between the two windows.

You can apply the same technique to modify layers created in Adobe Illustrator with the Select Fill and Adjust Stroke buttons, or create a new layer by exploding the shapes into their own layers with Explode.
